This early pressing carries the black/red ring label with copyright year replacing the address -- dating it to 1971--73. Turrentine's tenor leads a soul-jazz set including readings of "Deep Purple" and the Sy Oliver standard "'Tain't What You Do," alongside originals from his working band.
