Blue Hour pairs tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine with the Gene Harris-led Three Sounds piano trio, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in December 1960 and produced by Alfred Lion. This 1988 Blue Note CD reissue, produced for release by Michael Cuscuna, draws from the original LP. Highlights include a near-nine-minute reading of "Since I Fell For You" and an expansive take on "Willow Weep For Me."
