Recorded at Ramses Studio, Paris in April 1979, Wooley The Newt is a spiritual and modal jazz session led by drummer Stephen McCraven. This 2025 reissue on Moved-By-Sound is limited to 450 copies on black wax. Five tracks across two sides, including the 12-minute "Soyuz Dance" and devotional cuts "Allah" and "Ahiri-Lalita", show McCraven working deep in the post-bop tradition.
