The World Within is the debut solo album by Crusaders drummer Ndugu "Stix" Hooper, released in 1979 on MCA Records. Produced alongside fellow Crusaders Joe Sample and Wilton Felder, with horn arrangements by the Seawind Horns, it sits firmly in the jazz-funk territory the Crusaders were charting at the time. Highlights include the percussive "African Spirit" and the lush extended groove of "Jasmine Breeze".
