Stone City Band were Rick James's backing group, and The Boys Are Back is their second album, released on Motown in 1981. James produced and arranged throughout, keeping the record close to his own sound. UK pressing on Motown STML 12150. Standout tracks include the reggae-inflected "Funky Reggae" and "Ganja", alongside the Kinks-covered "All Day And All Of The Night".
