Recorded in New York City in April 1965 and released on ESP-Disk', The Heliocentric Worlds Of Sun Ra Vol. I captures Sun Ra's Arkestra deep into free jazz territory -- extended compositions built around space, percussion, and collective improvisation. This is the 1966 white-label Plastylite repress of the original release, catalogue number ESP 1014.
