Tal Farlow's debut collection, originally issued on Norgran (MGN-19) and reissued here on Verve MGV-8138 in mono. Farlow was among the most technically advanced guitarists of the 1950s, and this set captures him across a mix of standards -- "My Old Flame", "Stompin' At The Savoy", "Tea For Two" -- alongside his own "Gibson Boy". A clean representation of his early small-group work.
