Monday Night captures the Thad Jones / Mel Lewis Orchestra live at the Village Vanguard, New York, where the band held a celebrated Monday night residency from 1966. This is the UK pressing on United Artists (UAS 29016). Highlights include Jones's own "Kids Are Pretty People" and a big band reading of "St. Louis Blues." Thad Jones arranged and conducted throughout, with Lewis anchoring the ensemble on drums.
