Bill McGuffie was a Scottish jazz pianist and session musician active from the 1950s onward. This 1962 Philips EP features his quartet playing four Gershwin standards from Porgy and Bess, including "Summertime" and "It Ain't Necessarily So." A neat small-group jazz take on the score, on a 7" EP from Philips' BE catalogue series.
