The Brand New Heavies' self-titled debut, released 1990 on Acid Jazz (JAZID LP23), introduced the West London group's blend of live funk and acid jazz at a moment when the label was defining the UK's rare groove revival. Features "Dream Come True" and "Stay This Way", both later released as singles, alongside the Curtis Mayfield cover "People Get Ready".
