Produced by Gerry Thomas and drummer Bill Curtis for Fatback Productions and recorded at Right Track and Platinum Factory in Brooklyn, 14 Karat sits firmly in the band's late-period disco-funk run. "Lady Groove" stretches past seven minutes and "Your Love Is Strange" leads the B-side at over six.
