Survival of the Fittest is the second album by The Headhunters, released in 1975 on Arista Records and produced by Herbie Hancock and David Rubinson. Recorded after Hancock departed the group, it features the original lineup led by drummer Mike Clark and bassist Paul Jackson. "God Make Me Funky" became the group's signature track and has been widely sampled in hip-hop. This is a 2025 reissue on Music On CD.
