Survival of the Fittest is the second album by The Headhunters, released in 1975 on Arista -- the first without Herbie Hancock as a performer, though he stayed on as co-producer alongside David Rubinson. Recorded at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco, it opens with "God Make Me Funky," later sampled widely in hip-hop. This is the UK pressing on Arista ARTY 116.
