The Heptones were one of the defining vocal groups of the rocksteady era, recording prolifically for Clement "Coxsone" Dodd's Studio One imprint. This Jamaican Coxsone Records 7" pairs "Only Sixteen" -- a cover of the Sam Cooke pop hit -- with "Oil In My Lamp" on the flip. Dodd's production credit goes uncredited on the label itself, standard practice for Studio One singles of the period.
