Coltrane is a 1962 studio recording by the John Coltrane Quartet, cut at Van Gelder Studios and originally released on Impulse! The set features the extended modal workout "Out of This World" alongside "Soul Eyes" and "Miles' Mode." This is the 1972 ABC Records repress, identifiable by the red/black Impulse labels with "1972 ABC Records Inc." at the label base.
