Product Review:
US Original. Rockaway Pressing in great shape. EX/EX. Still in shrink.

The Meters' self-titled debut, released on Josie Records in 1969 and produced by Allen Toussaint and Marshall Sehorn. This is the Rockaway pressing variation, identified by an "R" stamped in the runout grooves. Features "Cissy Strut" and "Sophisticated Cissy," both written by the full band and widely sampled across hip-hop. Foundational New Orleans funk from Neville, Porter, Nocentelli, and Modeliste.

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
