From a beautifully preserved collection. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Early UK Esquire EP from a May 1953 session featuring Davis alongside tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath. Four originals across two sides -- "Tune Up" and "Miles Ahead" both written by Davis, with "Smooch" co-credited to Davis and Gil Evans. A sharp bop date captured a year before the celebrated Prestige sessions, issued here on the Esquire EP-12 label for the British market.
