Recorded in Hackensack, NJ on November 16, 1955, Miles captures the Davis Quintet -- featuring John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones -- in their early Prestige period. Originally released as P-7014, this is the 1989 Original Jazz Classics CD reissue (OJCCD-006-2), mastered at Fantasy Studios, Berkeley. Highlights include "There Is No Greater Love" and "The Theme."
