Bad Girl was the first Miracles single to chart nationally, originally released on Chess Records in 1959 -- catalogue number 1734 -- before Berry Gordy launched Motown. Written by Gordy and Smokey Robinson and produced by Gordy, it predates the classic Tamla sound. This is a mono repress on Chess, the label that first distributed the group beyond Detroit.
