The Mohawks were a UK reggae session outfit led by Alan Hawkshaw, best known for "The Champ" -- one of the most sampled breaks in hip-hop. This 12" on the Star label features their reggae cover of Procol Harum's 1967 hit "A Whiter Shade Of Pale", produced by Harry Palmer. A curio from the early reggae-pop crossover period in the UK.
