Heavy Picks is a 1999 Mercury compilation drawing from Robert Cray's run of albums across Hightone and Mercury, spanning 1983 to the mid-90s. It covers the blues-rock singles that broke him to mainstream audiences, including Smoking Gun and Right Next Door (Because Of Me) from the Grammy-winning Strong Persuader, alongside Bad Influence and Phone Booth from his earlier Hightone years.
