All 16 tracks were produced by Alfred Lion at WOR and Apex Studios, New York. Covers 'Round Midnight, Straight No Chaser, and Ruby My Dear sit alongside Monk originals across a period widely regarded as his most concentrated burst of recording activity for the label.
