Underground is a 1968 Columbia album by Thelonious Monk, recorded across three sessions in December 1967 and February 1968 with producer Teo Macero. This 2003 Legacy remaster adds three alternate takes, two of them previously unreleased, expanding the original seven-track LP. Orrin Keepnews oversaw the reissue. Highlights include extended readings of "Ugly Beauty" and "Green Chimneys."
