Tiny Grimes -- Profoundly Blue, recorded for Muse Records in 1973 and produced by Don Schlitten. Grimes, a guitarist who came up playing with Art Tatum and early Atlantic Records R&B acts, brings that blues-rooted swing into post-bop territory across six tracks. The ten-minute "Cookin' At The Cookery" is the centrepiece, a live-feeling workout that stretches the title's promise.
