Tommy McClennan was a Mississippi Delta blues guitarist who recorded for Bluebird between 1939 and 1942. This 1975 UK Flyright compilation collects sixteen of those sessions, including "Bottle Up And Go" and "Shake 'Em On Down" -- raw, percussive sides that influenced later Chicago electric blues. Flyright were among the few UK labels reissuing Delta material in depth during this period.
