Bobby Womack fronted the Valentinos, the family vocal group he formed with his brothers in Cleveland in the early 1960s. Originally recording for SAR Records, they scored with "Lookin' For A Love" in 1962. This 1984 Chess compilation gathers early sides written by Womack, predating his solo career and the Rolling Stones' cover of "It's All Over Now."
