Authentic R&B is a 1963 UK compilation on Stateside (SL10068), gathering electric blues and R&B cuts licensed from US sources. Highlights include Slim Harpo's "I'm A King Bee," later covered by the Rolling Stones, and "I'm A Lover Not A Fighter" by Lazy Lester. An early Stateside release -- the label had only launched in 1962 -- bringing Chicago and Louisiana blues to British audiences ahead of the British blues boom.
