Catfish Blues a regional compilation of Mississippi blues recorded in Jackson and Crystal Springs.
Compilation drawing from two Mississippi sessions: Jackson recordings from 1951–53 featuring Robert Petway's "Catfish Blues" and early Little Milton, and a 1967 Crystal Springs session covering Charley Patton and Robert Johnson standards including "Pony Blues" and "Kind Hearted Woman." Released in 1993 on Blue Moon Records. Robert Petway's "Catfish Blues" is the direct source for Muddy Waters' "Rollin' Stone."
