Ralph Bass produced some of the defining Chess and King Records sides of the 1950s and 60s. This 1985 UK Red Lightnin' compilation draws from sessions he recorded in Chicago in March 1977, capturing raw R&B and Chicago blues across ten tracks. A late-career production statement from one of the genre's most influential A&R men and producers.
