Old Timey Records was a Berkeley, California reissue label run by Chris Strachwitz, who also founded Arhoolie Records. This first pressing -- identified by the P.O. Box 5073, Berkeley 5 address -- compiles early 20th-century string band recordings spanning Appalachian fiddle tunes, Cajun dance music, and early blues, including "Sally Gooden", "Hackberry Trot", and "Black Bottom Strut".
