Compiled by Gerald Short for Jazzman Records in 2020, it draws on SteepleChase's catalogue of modal, free, and spiritual jazz, originally produced by label founder Nils Winther. The set includes a version of Coltrane's "Naima" and South African-influenced tracks including "Tipe Tizwe" and "Magwaza."
