NorthernBlues Music is a Toronto-based independent label founded in 1999, focused on contemporary blues across acoustic, electric, and roots styles. This 2008 sampler -- the third in the series -- pulls fifteen tracks from across the roster, including the extended live cut "Dumpster Blues" and the 13-minute closer "Phunkville." A useful entry point into what the label was doing in its first decade.
