The Jazz Life! is a 1961 Candid Records compilation produced by jazz critic Nat Hentoff, capturing New York studio sessions from late 1960 and early 1961. Featuring hard bop and swing from a rotating cast of players, highlights include the 12-minute opener R&R and a Lucky Thompson contribution. Original US pressing on orange and yellow label with deep groove.
