"Slippin' Into Darkness" was the UK single from War's 1971 LP All Day Music, released on United Artists in 1972. This is an original UK EMI pressing (UP 35327), mono, with "Nappy Head (Theme From Ghetto Man)" on the B-side. Written by all six band members, the track reached the US top 20 and later became one of the most sampled recordings in hip-hop history.
