Heavy Weather is the eighth studio album by Weather Report, released in 1977 on Columbia Records. This is a UK CBS pressing made in England. Jaco Pastorius co-produced and plays bass throughout, including on "Teen Town," a showcase for his fretless technique. "Birdland" became the group's best-known track and has been widely covered and sampled across jazz, soul, and hip-hop.
