Weekend were a post-punk group from Glasgow, active 1979--83, whose sound drew on bossa nova, Latin jazz, and dub. This is the original 1982 UK pressing on Rough Trade (RT 097), recorded at Blackwing in January '82 and produced by Simon Jeffes of Penguin Cafe Orchestra. The A-side runs over eight minutes; the flip, Leaves Of Spring, brings a looser Latin feel.
