From a beautifully preserved collection. A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Willie Smith -- alto saxophonist known as "The Lion" -- led this sextet session for Vogue Productions, released as a UK 7" single (EPV 1110). "Experiment Perilous" and "Dexter Digs Again" point to the bop-influenced small group jazz of the late 1940s and early 50s. A rare UK Vogue pressing of an artist who recorded alongside Ellington and led his own dates with real authority.
