Zapp's "More Bounce To The Ounce" introduced Roger Troutman's talk-box vocoder style to funk in 1980, becoming a cornerstone of the electro-funk sound. This 1982 UK 12" on Warner Bros. pairs it with "Dance Floor," both produced by Roger and Larry Troutman with George Clinton. "More Bounce" has since been widely sampled across hip-hop.
