Ella Fitzgerald's live showstopper "How High The Moon" -- written by Morgan Lewis and Nancy Hamilton -- split across two sides on this 1960 UK His Master's Voice 7". Recorded with the Paul Smith Quartet, it captures Fitzgerald's scat improvisation in full flight. The song had been her signature since the 1947 recording, and this single pressing reflects its continued draw well into her Verve years.
