First Choice were a Philadelphia vocal group who scored consistently on Salsoul and its sister label Gold Mind through the late 1970s. Hold Your Horses is a 1978 disco 12" on Gold Mind, produced by Thor Baldursson and Tom Moulton, whose mixing credit appears on the label. The track runs just under six minutes on the A-side, with a shorter edit on the flip.
