"Oh Carolina" by the Folkes Brothers is one of the earliest ska recordings, originally released in 1960 on Prince Buster's label and featuring Rasta drummer Count Ossie -- a rare instance of Burru drumming on a pop release. Written by Cecil Bustamante Campbell (Prince Buster), it later reached new audiences when Shaggy covered it in 1993.
