New sealed Hopeton Lewis LP reissued by Dubstore of Japan. Take It Easy is the 1967 rocksteady cut that gave the sub-genre its name -- this compilation gathers his Studio One sides and is the place to start with one of Jamaica's most underrated vocalists.

Hopeton Lewis's debut LP, originally released on Federal Records in Jamaica in 1967, captures the rocksteady era at its peak. Produced by Richard Khouri, it features the title track "Take It Easy" -- a Jamaican number one -- alongside "Rock Steady" and "Let The Little Girl Dance." This 2025 reissue is cut from a new lacquer at D&M and pressed at Pallas, released via Tokyo's Dub Store Records.
