UK single pressing of "The Worm" by Hammond B-3 organist Jimmy McGriff, released on United Artists UP 35025 in 1969. The A-side is a rolling, groove-heavy organ workout produced by Sonny Lester, built on a three-note bass vamp that became a foundational reference point in jazz-funk. B-side "What's That" adds further soul-jazz weight. Both sides were cut for McGriff's album of the same name.
