Introducing Johnny Griffin is the debut album by Chicago tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin, recorded April 1956 at Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, and originally issued on Blue Note BLP 1533. This 2007 remastered CD reissue adds two previously unreleased tracks -- "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Cherokee" -- not on the original LP. Produced by Alfred Lion, the session features Griffin alongside Wynton Kelly, Curly Russell, and Art Blakey.
