New Age Steppers were a collective assembled by Adrian Sherwood, anchored by Ari Up and members of The Slits, The Pop Group, and Creation Rebel. Action Battlefield is their second album, released 1981 on Statik Records. This French-pressed UK copy (STAT LP 2) carries Sherwood's On-U Sound production across seven tracks of dubbed-out post-punk reggae, with Ari Up prominent on My Whole World and Got To Get Away.
