Richard "Popcorn" Wylie was a Detroit keyboardist and vocalist who worked closely with producer Ollie McLaughlin throughout the 1960s and into the 70s. This 1971 Soul Records 45 features "Funky Rubber Band" in vocal and instrumental versions, arranged by Mike Terry. A US pressing with silver ink label text -- the vocal side is a straight-ahead Detroit funk cut worth having on its own.
