The Maytals' "Six & Seven Books" is a gospel-rooted roots cut produced by Clement "Coxsone" Dodd at Studio One, with Toots Hibbert leading the vocal charge over a driving rhythm. Released on the Coxsone label in 1970, this is a repress of the original Jamaican 7". The B-side carries the instrumental version. A solid Studio One 45 from one of reggae's defining vocal groups.
