Caron Wheeler's "Livin' In The Light" was lifted from her 1990 debut album UK Blak on RCA. Produced by Afrika Baby Bambaataa and co-produced by Wheeler, the single was recorded at Calliope Productions and The Apollo Center in NYC. The Brixton Bass Mix runs nearly nine minutes, leaning into the downtempo electronic soul that defined the record. Wheeler had recently departed Soul II Soul prior to this release.
