Clarence Reid -- best known as the alter ego behind Blowfly -- releases this 1979 disco 12" on T.K. Disco, the subsidiary of Miami's T.K. Productions that handled the label's dancefloor output. Reid co-produces alongside Freddy Stonewall. The A-side "You Get Me Up" is the floor-focused cut; the flip "It's Hell Trying To Get To Heaven" shows Reid's gospel-inflected soul side.
