Cleveland Eaton was a Chicago session bassist who worked extensively with Ramsey Lewis before launching a solo career. "Bama Boogie Woogie" was released in 1978 on Ovation Records, with this copy a UK Gull pressing distributed by Pye. The title track is a driving disco-funk cut built around Eaton's bass, with "The Funky Cello" on the flip doing exactly what it says.
